A customer recently came into our store and ordered 4 bags of soda ash weighing 50 pounds each. Normally we ask why does anyone need so much, in pools it’s used to raise Ph and no one should be that low. He said he was using it to kill black mold from the flood water that was inside his home. So I looked it up and yes it does. If you are having an issue with black mold we can get you up to 50 pounds at around 49 dollars a bag. How Soda Ash Kills Black Mold. Alkaline Spike: It raises the surface pH to a level most molds cannot tolerate. Dehydration: It draws moisture out of the fungal structure, drying it out. Residue Protection: The leftover powder film physically deters new airborne spores from settling. Step-by-Step Cleaning Method. For safe and effective application on hard or semi-porous surfaces:Mix the Solution: Dissolve 1 to 2 tablespoons of soda ash into a spray bottle filled with warm water.Apply Thoroughly: Spray the area heavily until it is completely saturated.Scrub and Wipe: Let it sit for 10–15 minutes, scrub the black mold off with a stiff brush, and wipe clean.Apply a Shield: Spray a light, final mist of the solution over the clean area and let it air dry to leave a protective barrier. ... Here we have a 2010 Hotspring Aria that was having an issue with not heating. The owner tried replacing the heater relay board but there was no luck. When buying parts off the internet you need to know that sometimes the person selling you the part doesn’t know the right part or doesn’t care. In this case they sold him a heater relay board short one relay and was incompatible. After installing the original board the only thing that wasn’t responding was the pressure switch inside the heater. After bypassing the pressure switch the heater began pulling 15 amps and became hot to the touch. If you need a part we usually have them in store and we will most definitely order the right one if we don’t. All you have to do is reach out to us. #hottubrepair #rockspringstx #hotspringaria #hotservicedays ... See MoreSee Less

Here is a recent service call on 2017 Hotpsot Sx. Their service call was for a leak. This was found very quickly. The light dome was leaking into the spa, that’s the calcium being deposited on the threads and shell as it leaks inside, the pressure switch is leaking and corroding the heater and the clamp holding down the high limit sensor, and both gaskets to the heater are dissolving. This is either a PH issue from being too low or something is being added that is detrimental to the spa. Unfortunately the pressure switch was leaking because it’s plastic melted into the threaded hole it goes into and couldn’t be removed so the heater had to be changed. If you have questions about chemicals and water balance you can bring us a sample of call us because this sort of repair isn’t just costly this time but if the same damage has happened to the gaskets behind the jets they will eventually have to be replaced too. #hotspotsx #hottubrepair #fredericksburgtx #kerrville ... Yesterday we delivered a Hotspring Flair and it looks fantastic in its new home. The Flair has a single speed pump and a 2 speed pump as well as a circulation pump just for the heater. Fitted with lights both inside the tub and outside corner lighting you can set the@mood any way you want or not have them on at all. The Flair holds 335 gallons and has plenty of seats to share the fun or if you wamt to spread out and soak by yourself which is totally understandable. Picture here with a Lift N Glide cover lifter and this time we don’t need steps. #hotspring_spas #hotspringflair #kerrville #hotdays ... See MoreSee Less

Service call from last week, this tub had some flood water raise up and go into it and they wanted it looked at to make sure everything is ok. Thankfully the majority of equipment is raised up high enough where it wasn’t affected and the only thing low enough was the circulation pump and I couldn’t find any water inside it or any evidence that there was. Tested everything and took voltages across all the equipment just to make sure. #kerrville #hotspring_spas #backyardoasis #hottubservice ... See MoreSee Less

Here is a delivery from Thursday, a 2026 Hotspot Tx delivered to its new home in Ingram. The Tx has a redesign of equipment in the compartment, it now has a circulation pump to push water through Hotsprings no fault heaters. Still equipped with a 2 speed pump and minimal lighting as well as an option for salt water option to sanitize. This delivery was very easy because the spa fits through standard door frames. Here we have a Hotspring Aria that took some hail damage to the old cover and started taking on water. This model is not that old, I think it’s a 2021 or 22. This cover was changed on Tuesday and it was drizzling before the deluge began. Old cover taken away and here’s the new cover. This material is supposed to hold up better than the old fake leather material. Notice the foaming? This is an indicator that sweat is building up in the water and needs a heavy oxidation to break that up. If you need a water test come see us and bring an empty bottle full just because we do spill water on occasion. #hotspringaria #hotspring_spas #fredericksburgtx #enoughrainalready ... A little unexpected excitement at the store today! We had some water make its way inside, but thankfully it wasn’t anything we couldn’t handle.

Cleanup is underway, and we’ll be back open tomorrow for our normal business hours.

Our prayers continue to be with everyone affected by the flooding. Please stay safe, take the weather seriously, and we’ll see you soon. 💙
